DUTCH BARN CONVERSION NOW AT PRE-CONSTRUCTION STAGE

Located in the Oxfordshire village of Clanfield, the double Dutch barn is to be converted to a high quality rural residence.

Externally the 1950's steel frame is to be fully exposed after being shotblasted and protected with a lanolin coating. Timber cladding will replace the existing profiled metal wall linings.

The 'high barn' is to be stripped of all cladding and left exposed to form a giant arbour structure for climbing plants.

The large sliding barn door is to be clad in perforated steel mesh and will function as a sliding sun protection screen for the south facing wall and garden.

Internally, partition walls are constructed from self finished concrete blocks of various colours and textures depending on their application.
